Ginoo at Mutya ng Kalayaan 2023 Screening: A Celebration of Filipino Beauty and Talent

Doha-Qatar, May 18, 2023 – The city’s anticipation reached its peak as the highly-awaited screening of the prestigious Ginoo at Mutya ng Kalayaan 2023 pageant took place at the PSD Gym. This momentous event, aiming to showcase the epitome of beauty and grace, was set to determine the candidates who would advance to the official pageant for this year’s Philippine Independence Day celebration.

Under the organization of the Ginoo at Mutya ng Kalayaan 2023- Programs Committee of the PID23 OrgCom, in collaboration with the Philippine Professional Organization Qatar – PPOQ 2023, the screening unfolded with a series of captivating highlights. The event, which took place on May 18, witnessed the FILCOM, the candidates themselves, their enthusiastic supporters, and the pageant organizers, all filled with excitement and pride. The atmosphere was electrifying, radiating the spirit of Filipino excellence.

The screening witnessed the participation of a diverse group of candidates, with 11 contestants vying for the Mutya title and eight candidates competing for the Ginoo crown. Representing various regions across the Philippines, the Mutya candidates hailed from the National Capital Region (NCR), Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Region 3, Region 4A, Region 6, Region 7, Region 9, and Region 12. Likewise, the Ginoo contestants represented the National Capital Region (NCR), Region 3, Region 4B, Region 5, Region 7, Region 9, and Region 11.

The event was made possible through the exceptional leadership of PID23 OrgCom Chairman, JGo Abrasado, and the invaluable assistance of ExCom Doc Pres Elvin Dalisay Fajutagana, ExCom Nhelie Amos, ExCom Melissa Montayre, as well as various Chairs including Ressie Fos, Mark Abendan, Bong, and Israel Gonzales Malabanan. Together, they orchestrated a seamless and unforgettable experience for all participants.

The Ginoo at Mutya ng Kalayaan 2023 screening showcased the remarkable talents and beauty of the candidates who had been meticulously selected through a rigorous process. These hopeful individuals, representing different cities and provinces across the country, graced the stage with their poise, charm, and grace. Their performances on May 18 left the audience in awe, truly embodying the essence of Filipino excellence.

Acknowledgment must be given to the incredible individuals who made the event possible. The Pageant Team, led by the esteemed Pageant Team Chair, Dra. Rosanna Millar Barrera, Co-Chair Engr. Danica Alcanta, Program Committee Chair Zhai Marcelo, Program Committee Co-Chair Homer Hiceta, Pageant Screening Head Ivan Caceres, Pageant Awards Head Dorily Dorymac Macaraeg, and Secretariat Ms. Amie Andrada, deserves resounding applause for their unwavering dedication and hard work. Their commitment to perfection ensured the success of the event.

Numerous organizations lent their support and collaboration to elevate the screening to new heights. The Philippine Professional Organization Qatar – PPOQ 2023, PSME Qatar, PICE Qatar, IECEP Qatar, FDOQ, Banyuhay, TOPI, PHRPQ, PSD, FFHQ, FAMS, PICPA Doha LLCG, PNA-Q, Phase Qatar, Guardians Qatar, PBC, and many more made significant contributions, infusing the celebration with grandeur and unity. The collective effort of these organizations exemplifies the strong Filipino spirit present in the community.
